can somone help me out with this footage

well its from the interschools at thredbo, the is of footage of 4x DH and XC.

ill post it up here for everyone to see but first theres a few things i have to do

i have to get it off a DVD and out of .VOB format whatever that is.

then i need to delete ALL XC footage because its boring and for funboys(some exclusions) this is easy because its the seccond half of the video.

then i shall take of the very bad U2 music and add some wikid hardcore stuff that ive been wanting to put to a movie for a while

and then i will post it here.


problems are...
getting it off the DVD
putting it in a format to be able to edit in windows movie maker
then i gota reduce quality a shit load cause currently file size is 800meg
and i think thats it

tell me what to do and ill fix it

Ok well

1st
Do u have a DVD drive in your computer that runs DVD’s if not you’re stuffed.

2nd
Now download this cool program http://www.audioutilities.com/dvd-avi-ripper/dvd-avi-ripper.htm
Its pretty simple, play the movie into the program and rip the parts you want in an output folder (of your choice). This output folder you must have saving as an .Avi or a .mpeg i think that should work if not give me a yell.

These files should now go into windows movie maker. With the new format of .avi or .mpeg it will have reduced the quality/size.

Once in windows movie maker the only way i think you can get rid of the music is to mute all the sounds, this means you won’t have any speaking either unfortunately.
