Hi again. I have just got into freeride and wondered if any one has any opinions about riding my XC KHS alite.
Will it break on me?
What mods do you thimk i will need?( i was thinking a much shorter stem, currently a XC one)

Put a short stem on it with some rizer bars, that will make it alot easier to get the front end up for manuals and wheelies. Then slap on some hookworms if you just want to do street on it (as long as they fit). Then you should have a cool street rig to get started on.

Hmmm possibly not the best Idea because if the bike is labelled XC then most likely the frame won't stand up to a lot of abuse. But if its all you've got, then hell, go for it, I used to ride the shit out of my enduro on freeride and DH as well as raping the wheelset on those "cool" hucks to flat yo!
I would go with the widest tyres that your frame will accomodate, a short stem, riser bars and some money left for truing wheels etc.

ooo....poor xc bike lol
hmmm freeriding....theres probably very strict limits for that bike
your probably better off with a second hand Dj bike or somethin
but if its all you got then just test the limits...i doubt it will take long for you to break something....then its time to think about a bike upgrade
