What length stem do you run for hardcore type freeriding?

i do both dh and "freeride" and i find 50mm sweet. keeps things nice and tight and gives sweet handling and control, i reckon its all personal though.

My "Freeride lite" bike runs a 70mm stem and my DH/FR bike runs a 50mm. Both are right on the money.

60mm for everything (cuz thats all i got) and i find it perfect,wouldn't mind a shorter one to shorten the cockpit. Has anyone triedthose 0mm stems? How do they perform? (sorry to thread jack)

i've had the same stem since i've been riding seriously and i have no problem with it at all. a 50mm funn henchman. used it for DJing, racing (DH, slalom, bikerX and even 1 or 2 XC races! lol) and "freeriding". all sweet, perfect length.

i run a 888 fork clamp so i rekon its under 30mm and it feels so much better then with a stem!

I think you'll find the 888 stems about 60mm maybe 50mm.
