Hey there Guys I just wrote an email to this prawn of a Lawyer and have posted a copy of it feel free to read it and send one of your own to stop people like this ruining our lives by taking the things we enjoy away.
G'day James Leone,
I mountain bike and I would just like to point out to you, if people like yourself (lawyers and people with no common sense) keep on suing non profit organisations, sporting clubs and the like. We will soon have a country of obese and lazy people because the organizations will just close down. I am a member of our local MTB club (Central Coast Mountain Bike Club) as well as a commitee member and DH Co-ordinator and if we get sued just once because someone was riding a mountain bike our club will shut down no question asked no trying to continue because we will tar everyone with the same brush just to not risk it again. So who do think we should then sue for being a nation of fat, lazy people? I believe the answer is suing the lawyers that cause these clubs to close down, that in my eyes would be justice.
You have to remember that these people are not forced to do these dangerous activties and the truth is someone like myself would never sue a club who put an event on in favour of me enjoying myself I know the risk with the sport I take part in I am not stupid and know that I'm not playing chess even though you could fall of the chair and maybe break your collarbone.
The truth is life is a risk every morning you have to get up and you may stub your toe on the bed leg because you still have your eyes closed, but would you make a case to sue the bed manafacture because of your own actions, which in the end is what it all comes down to take responsbilities for your own actions. I know there is neglegance in this world but there is no black and white. This is where the wheels have fallen of the wagon.
Thanks for listening Wayne Froggatt

Here Here....I'm actually thinking about getting into law but with the kind of morons around I don't think I want to spend my life helping these people abuse the system.

WDV...you're the man! Thanks for taking the time to let this scumbag know what's up. Hopefully he'll listen; however, since he's a lawyer he probably only listens to himself. I think I will send him a nice little email, as well...

Then again with the lack of grammer and proper spelling he might not.

Personal responsibility should overrule the ability to sue in cases like this, just makes me wonder when the litigation free-for-all will ever end.
Take away the lure of that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and people might just see that 'hey, i fucked up!'
Who in their right mind can blame anyone else for steering their bike into a hole anyway??

Yeah, it's mind-blowing, eh?
Reminds of the girl who cased herself on the BMX track and the family sued everyone in sight.

I've already sent an email to this guy as well.

meh that guy's a tool. obviously he doesn't have the ability to contrtol his index finger and he isn't sure of when he might jam on the breaks. but if guys like this are out on the trails and know that their ability doesn't cover what they're riding (and they're prompted by government signs) then i say they should go to tennis (not that i don't like tennis:))

You reckon? Didn't we find that that was a little more of a minefield?

Just that someone got hurt and sued the cycling community for something that wasn't very clear-cut...
