what is 4x? just wondering...

It's pretty much like bmx racing except on mtbs!
4 dudes go head to head on a track built with berms jumps etc...

One more thing to add. Its not a circuit, best ive heard it described is as "Downhill BMX".

Yeah, 4X or Mountain Cross is basically 4 riders on mountain bikes racing on a downhill BMX track that usually has multiple lines. Each race begins with a start gate like BMX. It’s 100% action from the instant the gate drops all the way to the finish line.

I reckon it has to be the most exciting form of MTB racing for both rider and spectator.

4X action will find it’s way onto TV before too long.

Only if there are good courses. 75% or more of courses i see make for boring spectating, the winner is decided at the first corner and the jumps are way to small for the skill of the riders. If i can find 4x boring then it will definatly bore a non-mtber.
