Thinking of getting sunday world cup when the 06 models are out, how much were the 05 models. Does anyone know the new specs that they come with in 06 . Any pros & cons about getting one these bikes, any help would great.

Cheers Josh

The retail on the 05 Sunday WorldCup was $7999.

My intention was to purchase one of these, but sadly Aus had no available stock left. I test rode a Sunday Team and loved it, really nice stable ride and pedalled well. It will be interesting to see what changes, if any, there will be for 2006. Spec for the newer bikes will no doubt be surfacing sometime soon.

Unfortunately, I had nothing but bad experiences with my 05 Sunday Factory framekit, the associated battles in getting it here and timing it with the purchase/delivery of an entire build kit.
After waiting through week upon extra week of delays it arrived close to the end of our mountain biking season. Upon initial inspection on delivery, it was evident the frame had been welded incorrectly - with linkage plate brace behind upper shock eye sitting AGAINST the frame straight out of the box.. with no load on suspension and where there should be 8mm or so of clearance - I have sent the frame back and will be reluctant to ride Ironhorse again even if they get things 100% dialled for 06.
I understand the responsibility lies with Kinesis fabrication USA.. but that aside im not a happy camper (currently with no DH bike because i sold my SGS WC in anticipation of the newbie actually being good enough quality to build up and ride...).

By the way, i'd like to take this opportunity to thank Squid for the custom, although not 100% accurate, sig.

yeah, Ray got royaly screwed!

but hey, i came out of it with some Hope Mono 6ti brakes! (BTW ray, i bloody love those brakes, they are the shit!)

i've ridden a few Sunday's, both WCs, and shit mate, those are sweet. really plush, and like ray said pedal bloody well.

they are nice bikes that have a very good reputation.

They now make them out of america instead of taiwan which they used to be made out of, because you never now if it is cheap labour.(bad luck about your frame SpectRe im sure its one in a millon chance.)

not true, only the world cup factory frames are made in the U.S, the rest are made in taiwan
