hey what would be the best derailer fpr dj / freeriding for 8 speed

FIrstly, the type of derailer does not affect 8/9 speed setups, it is the shifters that control this,

In terms of derailers, Sram might be a better option, like an X7 or an X9, but bear in mind that the Shimano shifters will NOT work with sram derailers due to a 1:1 ratio,, there are many reviews and information on other threads and websites alike,

hey i looked art sram i dont no which one to choose i think the x-7 is pretty good what do u reckon and can i put trigger shifters with the sram derailer
because personally i dont like the twist shifters
