Well I saw Ty's mention of the show in another thread, and I finally remembered that it's coming up soon! I was wondering who's going to get out to it, and if anybody knows anything about what demos are going to be on and stuff.
I'm trying to decide whether to go one of the trade days, or on a public day. I figure trade only is good becaue then you don't have to trawl through all the little kids (no offence to any little kids here). But on the other hand all the good demos are usually on public day. Anybody got any input?
On another note, I might make up a shirt with my avatar......unless of course somebody would be planning on taking the opportunity to smack me over the head with a blunt object....

4 pm to 9pm - Show Open, Trade Visitors Only

this is the first year i got into bikes and i gotta go to the bike show

i think that some of the factories show some of their 04 range on designated weekends. In melboune that is. But im not totally sure.

Most distributors will have individual shows on weekends before the show where the dealers can go and look at the new lines, but I don't know of any which are open to the public.
Yeh, gettin on the piss is what's planned for me too. Depending what the Farkin boys plan, I might try and tag along with them, we should hit the city for a ride or drink or both (at once!)

There will be pics, don't worry about that, there should be at least 3 or 4 digital cameras between the farkin crew, so expect plenty of happy snaps :)

the bike show is ok... its cool seeing all the new bikes and stuff.. but i find it rather boring... i've been to the past 2 or 3 in melb (cant remember) and each year it's the same stuff... most companies dont even have the full range...
and battling the kiddies is a pain too...

I shouldn't have a problem, I'll be going straight from work to the show, and will most likely be wearing my XTR shirt and be covered in grease and smelling of bikes, there's no way they can turn that down.

Yep. Usually they alternate, one year in Sydney, the next down south.

Hey, what are you Farkin boys doing for the trip down, driving, flying, riding down from QLD ? Are you bringing bikes ?? If you guys are planning on hanging around for a day or 2 maybe we could organise a day of shuttles somewhere(i'll drive), i'd even let some of you review the Avy if you're interested.

We are flying down on early saturday morning....staying....well, somewhere. We will be down there until early monday morning. We contemplated bringing the bikes but in the end is would be too much hassle for only a days riding. Thanks for the offer tho gutty, mighty kind of you :)
I'm just looking forward to sharing many a beer with you lads! I can't WAIT!!!!!
