Hey i got a 2003 norco aline, while i was riding today i notice when i pulled the front wheel up and dropped it straight away my monster t2's made a clunk noise. Is this normal or do i have something wrong with them?

One thing that comes to mind... how much preload are you running? As if they're wound a fair way out, the springs and lowers can have a bit of play. You need to do up the preload knob a few turns in, and you should be able to feel them start pressing against the spring to do so. If it's not that, then we can go deeper in to troubleshooting.

Sounds like a loose headset to me. Just tighten your headset up and see if it still maes the noise

well the onli way i can adjust the preload is if i open them up coz i dont think you can adjust them from the outside. I havent changed the oil or springs since i got it in 2003 maybe they need a tune up. But the way i meant by pullin them up is preload them, lean bak lift up jus like 4 a manual but i dropped it down straight away. I guess i pullled them up 30cm off the ground.

i have the same problem with my bike, my headset is stuffed so check yours and see if the bearings are rusty of stuffed. it is not that bigger problem though coz the worst thing that can happen is the bearings will break. i raced on mine last weekend.

Sometimes it can be that the wheel isnt fully tightened and has just a tiny bit of unnoticeable play.

Try rolling your bike back and forth whilst locking the front brake.

This should let you know if there's any play in your headset/wheel.
