Hi all..
I am looking into buying either a 661 dirt lid or a pro-tech skate style helmet, but the problem is that i cannot find a store that sells them. I have tried my LBS but had no luck. And the internet isn't helping me too much either
Any help is very much appreciated
Nick..

another good helmet is the Azonic skid-lid. I got mine from BikeNow in the city. It looks good and feels sweet. http://www.pedalphilia.com/archives/testing_lab/accessories/index.html

Pushi in King st has some Protec skate style MTB helmets in at the moment, $80. Same one I've got, they're nice...way better fit than 661 and others IMO, and way more protection over a normal skate helmet.
another good helmet is the Azonic skid-lidI was about to reccomend the same, I had a play with a new model today, and for $45 it's a killer deal.
Your best bet is to grab the phone, and the yellow pages (www.yellowpages.com.au), and see if anyone in your general vincinity has them in stock.

I just sent an email to Pushi and got the following back...
Pro Tec Classic- $40
Pro Tec Ace- $79.95
Six Six One Dirt- $40
How come there is such a huge difference between the Classic and the Ace?

the ace is the "pro" model with stickers and decals of their pro BMX riders. check here (http://www.pro-tec.net/bike.html) for more info.
EDIT: after looking at the site more, the ace has a funky, less "skatey: helmet shape. i reckon it looks awesome! (alot like my specialized rogue. $50, comfy and not TOO heavy, awesome lid)

I believe that when you buy the pro tec ACE helmets, you get that riders sponsors stickers on a sheet with the helmet. But i may be wrong...

hey mate I was having the same problem. I wanted to buy a Protec helmet, but didn't know many shops that sold them that were fairly close to me. If you haven't gotten one yet, some places I know that sell them are; Ozmosis and Boarderline at Knox City, but only have limited sizes and colours, and also Strictly Bmx at Ringwood and I think Camberwell.
