Looking good. As for the weight, maybe cut your seatpost right down if you leave it down, front brake if you dont need/want.

Yeah I was thinking of taking off a few inches, but I still want enough for XC  Not....

Front brake will also come off to try and improve skill. Don't really need it for street...

EDIT*
Also maybe I should change tubes. Running heavy as F*** DH tubes.
Any suggestions for light and tough tubes?

Nice bike mate :D

To get lighter, I reckon a wiener XC seat would help, if you can deal with the associated baggage :p

And, lose the derailleur and find another way to tension the chain to make it lighter. Maybe a magic gear combo, a BMX chain with a half link or two.....

As for tubes, I reckon tubeless! Instead of DH tubes, you end up having a BMX tube (light!) and a bit of sealant in there with no sacrifice in pinchflat resistance.

Hahahahahaha

I sold my old BMX seat to my mate last night, and it was a GT seat (they sell them at your work Mike, And they are on all the GT bikes)

And god did I need creme after riding that down the street!!

Don't really care about the seat, it's quite comfy.

Tubeless is a maybe, if it works with Rhynolites...

EDIT*

Nope Riley, they are a guy named Zac's old forks (geohatrik on here) zids discription of his forks put me off....

Just tried the tubeless thing on the rhynolites on my DMR... don't work. :(

I am thinking though that the SDG rail seatpost/seat combo may be a way to save weight if you're that keen ;-)

To try and get it lighter, you could:
Cut bars down and hold bars on the outside (the bestest way).
Cut steerer tube down (looks pretty long in those pictures)
Cut Seat tube down (as said before)
If you think the rhyno lites are strong enough for the rear, get a lighter rim for the front, if ur destroying front rims more than rear rims then theres something your doing wrong. :)
