Here are the top 5 results from the US Open...Sam Hill took the win. David K. was the highest placing American (6th place). I'm not a David K fan, so I would have hoped that another American would have placed higher than him...

EDIT: Day-um, i got the results for last weekends race. Oh well, Juzzo is still the highest placed American in 5th then, my bad.

EDIT* wait, wtf? juzzo got 5th and its a top 5 all aus podium anyway. i think ur still on the other race daver.

Justin Havukainen has dual citizenship - Aussie and US - so they may be able to claim him as a yank, but he grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, so he's an aussie rider!

Still a great Aussie podium hey!

So what's new? When was the last time an American won a norba DH round, let alone the whole series? Did they even have anyone in the top 10 last year? :p

As far as I know, the last American to win a NORBA DH round was May, 2004, Big Bear National--Eric Carter.

The Aussies ruled the US Open...

That was DH mania; however, he won the 2003 NORBA National there...which was a traditional DH course...

Ha ha...that's good! To be honest, most of my favorite DHers are not American. My favorite riders are Steve Peat, Sam Hill, Nathan Rennie, and Chris Kovarik. I'm not one of those guys who will back a rider just because they are from the States.

I hate to say this, but there are a few riders from the States, I'm not a fan of. One would be Brian Lopes and the other would be David K. Both of those riders have done things and said things that have pissed me off...I would much rather see Sam Hill win a race than David K...
