Hey,
have finally got hold of all the bits for my brake whacked it together and there is something not right.
where the rotor goes inot the caliper it doesn't seemm to be in there correctly (i.e the pads don't touch the rotor much at all - when they should make complete contact with it....)
see attached picture
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG?

At a guess....a 7" rotor with an 8" IS adaptor.

looks like you've got a rear mount there.

Then that's your issue. ;) Boxxer mount isn't the same as IS, so what you'll need is an 8" IS adapter.

You either have the rear adapter there
OR
From what I can see, flip the thing so the extension bit (the one thats at the top) is down.....
Number 2 is what I am damm sure is your problem...

^^ do you mean what is now the tops(bracket) becomes the bottom?
no. they're different adaptors. front IS is the same pattern and same alignment as rear IS, but the mounting points are 10mm further away (radius) from the axle centre, thus supporting a 20mm larger rotor (diameter) if all else (i.e. caliper/adaptor) is the same.
