View Full Version : Iron Horse Yakuza Yumcha
This is my actual DH bike. It's standard except for the bits that aren't:
Marzocchi 888rc forks with Aireal flat crown convertion kit.
Saint crankset and Atomlab Trailking Pedals
Xt 4-piston brakes with Goody-goody-Goodridge hoses
X-tension 65mm freeride stem and Atomlab Aircorp bars
Beer & pie-fuelled lardy pilot.
The flat crowns were a late addition to make the bike steer around bends.

Awesome bike, very nice specs. Loving those Kumicho's, how does it ride with all the new bits?
It's a bloody awesome ride. I tailered the characteristics to suit me (Six-three, 92 kilos), so the high front reflects that. I wanted a bike for racing on a budget and I reckon it's about 90% of the performance for 50% of the price. Strongly recommend the Aireal kit if you are having trouble making your bike turn-in.
beautiful looking bike mate! just woundering how much it costed to upgrade to the 888's? it seems that everybody who buys the Yakuza Kumicho, the first thing they do is upgrade the forks!!!
it makes me think, how bad are these Manitou Stance Kingpin forks???????

looks very nice. tall front end though.
if its too tall in the front you can reduce it by about an inch or so (2 cm in "worldwide standard measurement" :D) by using a zero-stack headset (FSA or Cane Creek) or E.13's reducer cups and an integrated headset. Just an idea...

Good to see the Aireal crowns, but it could still stand to lose some headset spacers, even if you're 6'2. I'm 6'3, but you aren't exactly looking for a nice comfortable xc position on that rig are you?
do u really wanna risk a XT 4 pot caliper being down there? lol
I risk my Sram X.0 mech that low... no wait, lower!
Beer & pie-fuelled lardy pilot.
Nice :D
Anyway, I love the rig mate. Enjoy it
Looks rad man. Nice work. Does it go well.

Bloody nice!!! The red makes it go faster. We need a sub section here on post your ride which not only shows off the porn of these bikes but shows the riders on them in action. Now that'd be nice.

.
out of context it sounds obvious.
Very nice DHer, love the colour.
Any views on how it goes with a shorter travel fork?
out of context it sounds obvious.Just quietly, I think the whole post from the title onwards was a bit tongue in cheek ;)
