actually you can buy them in that colour. There are 2 options, black and grey. If they did start off as black, I would be very surprised.

Great bike I want to build one up. Is it true that it only takes a 24inch rear wheel. What is the spacing for the rear wheel ?
demo man
20-06-2005, 09:33 PM
spacing is 150mm rear hub.
the bike will take both 24" and 26". there are two diff. setting for the two.
your brakes are on the wrong way around.
no they're not.
and Vish, nice ride mate.
I love mine (same fram, diff. spec), although i'm not one for hucking, im a DHer. but yeah, that's avery sweet bike, and i hope you keep that thing on the trails!
i hope u like the beast as much as i like mine, it really is one of the plushest bikes ever huh?
hehe.
interesting about the Mag30 colours huh. thats weird. in the UK its black and grey too. i wonder who made that decision...

WOW single crown forks on a demo it looks sick
manGo
03-11-2005, 06:48 PM
 that is a really nice looking ride, the blue/grey mag 30's look hardcore. the single crown makes the bike way more practical eh? ;)
oh just wondering, did your mag30's come with 3 stickers on each side? or did you just take them off? lol, i'm just interested in a set for my stinky and i think the stickers look really cool when the wheel spins :p

wow.. a grave dig if there ever was one...
i took the bike off it's first 20ft drop.. no bottom out.. does everything specialized claims it does... i have'nt broke anything on the bike except the Chain.. which set me back a couple of bucks for a new link... i've only Just changed the brake pads.. apart from a few more scratchs she's Still the same.. i can't Get over the Forks.. even without air.. i've bottomed them pretty hard and they still feel brand new... they also perform so good for racing... i got 4th in my first ever DH race a couple weeks back... i Was only 4 seconds behind 2nd and 3rd... i'm hoping to give it more of a flogging in coming months.
just an Awsome bike.. and it still looks like an 06 haha.

haha Edit: i broke the XT derailuer today.. but that was'nt mine, or the bikes fault.. it was the rocks fault.
i also wrapped around a tree as full speed.. although a can't breathe properly..
i don't Think the doctors will do anything..
anyone else Had a broken rib b4?

I rode a stock Demo 9 a while back...
I was surprised that it handled rather well, it was easy to forget that it tipped the scales (over) at ~50lb.
If you must huck, do it well, and you have done just that. Nice rig mate.
