Cairns bike park and bike hire

hey, i was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the cairns bike park and some bike hire up there (downhill bike preferably). I'm going up there in the hols and aparrently it's got some pretty good riding. thanks!

Cairns has some great riding (some of the best around) but you wont be able to hire a decent bike, certainly not a DH bike. Bring your own bike it will be worth it.

yeah if you have the ability to take your own bike then do it for sure, otherwise you will miss some of the best riding of you life!
on a long shot (if you cant take your bike) see brad at pump'n'pedals, or vince at edge cycles (both in the centre of town) and beg and plead and they might have a second hand dh bike you can hire. be pepared to fork out the cash tho cos they know how much of a thrashin the bike will get.
brad runs social rides from the shop so ask him to get off his fat ass and take you to ride "ho chi min" it will give you a big woodie!!
tell him jay sent ya and he might just make you drink beer and eat pizza on friday after work!

mmm pizza and beer... lol thanks guys i might just have to try that. i dunno about takin my bike up though, too much work i reckon. ill try my luck at hiring from those shops (if i can). thanks again!
