View Full Version : Jindalee Park / Dirt Jam Pics (extra pic)
As you may have seen on the frontpage, there was a street and dirt jam held at the Jindalee skatepark today.
Alas, the camera isn't quite up to the standard of Spoolin's and alas, my lookback is under-clicked but a big thankyou to my girlfriend Pip for taking the photo's, to Matt and Josh for organising the jam, to Timmy and Tomac at ForTheRiders.com (http://www.fortheriders.com) for providing a tent, tunes, free servicing and prizes for the jam and to NRG cycles for providing a tent.
In the dirt jam, Josh won best trick for flipping the last jump thrice, Lee got best run for a no-hander-lander over the first jump to a clicked no-foot-can-to-no-footer on the second and Matt won a ForTheRiders T-shirt for best style, the park jam didn't go down as everyone was stuffed after 4+ hours of riding, but the general quality of park riding was pretty damn awesome too...I'll just let the photos do the talking from now...
1. Braydo - Boost
2. Josh - Manual on the bank-hip
3. Josh - One-handed flip (actually a flip-bail, he did land 3 flips though)
4. Kram - Whippage. Kram jumped clipped in all day, he also tried a clip-out to no footer and ate shit, later revealing to me that he'd never tried to take a limb off before today, but was just 'feeling it'. Nutter.
5. Lee - 1 footed x-up
6. Matt - Matt won best style for boost like this
7. Me - Abubaca on a rock next to the quarter-hip
8. Me - Lookback (eat a dick roasted, I know I don't have them clicked, yet)
9. The Podium -
10. Sam - No footed seat grab with extra-whack facial
11. Sam cranking the click-tor scale up to about 11 on this suicide
12. Timmy from FTR with a little of his racer boy style
13. A little more of Timmy, it's what the kids are here to see
a) Damn you and your blue sky (just out of spite I bet, I had to work 10 hours outside in the friggin rain today. It reached a max of 10 degrees. whinge whinge whinge.)
b) Where'd your dreads go?
c) Great riding, nice pics too!

a) Yep, 'winter' in Brisbane certainly does suck. We got lucky though as there's a 30+ knot westerly blowing today, which is closer to a typical winters day here.
b) Cut the dreads off a few months ago. Kept a single-dread rat's tail for a while, but got over it too.

Cue suit and tie...
Good work Kram. Props for giving it a go. No-handed @ Coffs next I reckon...

I hate to be a smart ass too, but isnt that just an xup, cos your bar isnt over your leg/behind you?
I know what you mean...that's one of those positions you're not gonna be getting an MTB into without huge rise bars or stem spacers, I don't think I could squeeze one leg under the bars, let alone both of them. I'll concede then that it's not really a lookback but nor is it an xup, as the bike is pretty dead sideways...maybe it's a whip-x-up, although that sounds pretty lame when you say it.

yeah, they would be hard as to do properly on mtb, youd really need to have your legs basically running at an angle that would be an extension to the top tube to be able to do one properly which would be very, very hard.

don't go giving the secret police ideas.... they just knock on your door in the middle of the night and you disappear, never to be heard from again...
