suggestion: longer and higher landing maybe or no downramp at all. I hope you don't land front tyre 2 ft short.....
Get into it, let us know.
By the way, where is that? Looks familiar.

How goods the run-up on it? Cause if my maths are correct then your gonna need to hit it at about 48km/h to clear it. (Excluding air risistance)

How big do you reckon the drop is from the lip of the take off to the lip of the landing?

Make sure you film it for us :)

the run-up is a long 250-300m dowhill. i know i am going to have to hit it fast to clear it. the drop from the lip to the landing is probably about 6-7ft or so. it will be filmed and photos will be taken when it is hit.

Cant wait to hit it, there will be pics and vids when i do it. just have to wait probably 3 weeks till i get back home. i might have to put something over the fence near the landing though incase a go into it. i dont want to think about the god damn fence though, could be nasty :o , but i am still going to hit it up.

i hit up the gap a few weeks ago..... was out there just doing some run in's getting the speed up and getting used to it. i was only out there with an open face helmet only and not planing to hit it.... i got a bit confident and hit it and had perfect speed and distance only that i landed 6 inches to the left of the landing in the uncompacted part of the landing. the bike just sank and i flipped over, hitting the ground and sliding for about another 30 or more feet. the derailer had about a paddocks worth of grass clobbed in it and the cable was fucked. other than that every thing was good except for me with a fucked up shoulder leg and ankle. i was really lucky though that i didnt brake anything and only recieved some bruises. when i hit the ramp, there was so much speed behind me i snapped a few boards.... after hitting it once the ramp needed to be replaced. i will be hitting it up again when i get the kicker sorted out again. and i build up my confidence again!

cheers patto

Umm just out of curiosity is your tractor 7.5 metres long? Because 50 foot is just shy of 15.5 metres....

it is about 45ft from kicker to landing when i finished the downramp all together. it was 50ft in the pic with out the tractor. i built it back a little so i didnt come short. tractor is big though.

dude that is awesome. your pretty lucky your front wheel didn't go straight through the boards on the ramp though cos that could have ended in disaster.
