Hey,
My mate has a 2003 norco aline with monster ts. He was thinking about swapping his monster ts out for super ts so it would be a bit more race friendly. Can i have your opinions please.
Cheers

yeah they would probably be a better race fork being alot lighter and stuff.

but a better race fork could be a rock shox boxxer, could pick up a second hand 03 race for around 600-700 probably.

The Super T Is certainly alot lighter fork, and in Dual HSCV Form works great "if" it is tuned correctly for it's rider. and in years gone past has been a great DH/FR Fork..

however I would be more inclined to go from a Monster to a 888R (04) or 05 888RC or failing that a 02-05 Shivver DC.. the Super T weighs in at just a few grams over 3kg with it's steerer and stem, while the Shivver and 888 are more like 3.5-3.7 with steerer and Integrated stem.

it's really your call, your going to pay $600-800 for Super T's in 03 or 04 format,
as they are still sought after for Freeride as they are very light (for what it is) and you get marzocchi reliability and feel.. (which some like some don't)

and your still going to pay $800-1000 for 888's and 700-1000 for Shivvers.

it's your call, but coming from a 03 Monster, I'd be inclined to shoot at shivvers or 888's with some drop crowns myself.

Regards
Juls
(PS: I ride 04 dual hscv Super T's..)
