At the state round at Awaba a couple of weeks ago I snapped the Ti spring in my SRAM X-0 rear mech. The one that sits in the cage. It was out of warranty, but I wasn't too phased at the time as SRAM mechs are fully rebuildable. So I thought just buy a new spring, and the mech was due for a decent overhaul anyhow.

Unfortunately the spring I snapped is the one part that you can't buy, probably because that is one part that should never fail unless you destroy the mech completely. So the local SRAM distributors just gave me a brand new X-0 under warranty without me even asking.

Those guys are at the top of my legend list at the moment! :D

if he was there he would have given a 12hour straight thesis, on why the spring snapped, how it snapped, how it can be improved, and when it will be implemented :p
