Help with deraliuer

hey G's,
i was wondering if you could help me,
the problem is when i am in gear 1 of the front gears,the chain slides across the guide for the front deralieur,
i was wondering if you guys could tell me how to lower it so i dont have my chain running across it!

it sounds like you need ... *drum roll* ... an allen key!

Adjust the "L" limit screw counter clockwise half a turn.

theres a clamp on the derailleur holding it on to the seattube of teh frame, that clamp will have an allen key bolt holding it tight, you can loosen that off and slide it down a bit, dont move it too far though and make sure you dont twist it around or it will rub on the side instead :P you will probably have to re adjust your derailleur when youve moved it too
