Hunter Mountain Bike Association today visited the Westpac Helicopter Service in Newcastle to make a $1000 donation.

We haven't had to rely on the service for quiet a while now (and I think on that time at the Heaton National DH, it was to windy to land anyway) and hopefully we won't need them for a long time to come. The club still thought that it was a worthwhile venture to support this service and hopefully we will be in a position in the future to continue our support.

All in all a good morning down at the hanger having a climb through the helicopters and other interesting stuff down there.

I thought I would share a few images of the day on the forum. Sorry for the cheeseyness of the photos but we were posing for the local papers.

Doing a jig, no not really. I was trying really hard to restrain the saturday night fever within.

If it came out as a jig, I can live with that.

Where's YOUR lycra? It looks like a jig to me too.

My lycra was at home in the washing machine after the morning ride. The only thing worse than needing a lift in the helicopter, is posing in lycra in-front of the helicopter.

Trust me, it wasn't a jig. When I do a jig my arms are higher and folded in a more uniform manner. Plus I wear lycra, or is it spandex?
