you think it means "You will be непродуктивнаяом expenditure of time"

maybe theres a space missing in that middle word?

interesting.....

Kumicho is the family head of a Yakuza ('Japanese Mafia') group - the one who gives orders to everyone else.
The Kumicho being the head of the Yakuza dually 'family' if you like.

I did some research.

Yakuza Means A Japanese gangster.

Kumicho - "head of family - father" IE: best of the duallys"
Ojiki - "Uncle - fathers brother"
Aniki - "elder brother"

Waka Gashira - "Chief of the Children No.2 in the family" IE: Best of the HT's
Bakuto - "Gamblers"
Chimpira - "A Wanna Be Gangster"

Now we all know :)

Spot on Juls... Another interesting bit of trivia is that the Yamaguchi-gumi yakuza family is thought to be the largest criminal syndicate in the world.

The title Yakuza itself derives from an old Japanese card game called Hanafuda, its literally the worst hand of cards - Ya, Ku, Sa in the game denoting eight, nine, three, called the useless hand.

That would explain the 893 on the bottom of the downtube, I always wondered what the significance of the numbers were. Nice work.

looks like somebody needs some drop crowns. That is is you want your bike to go round corners properly. Can't make 'em turn-in on the tight stuff otherwise.

i always thought the naming of the yakuza line was kinda try-hardish... until now. what i'd assumed was just an attempt to be a bit esoteric and 'edgy' is actually well thought-out. props to iron horse for actually putting some thought into the naming of the different models in their line-up.

Thanks for the props!

I was sitting on the Yakuza name for a couple years actually. A few people assume it came from the Kill Bill movies but it pre-dates that by several years. It's actually a send-up to a NYC ska-reggae-hardcore band called the Pilfers, Pilfers Crew, & the whole NYC ska scene in general. Their song 'Yakuza' just stuck with me as a great name for a bike and I did some research and the whole name structure really came together.

Here's some more info on the Pilfers for y'all

(the band Metro Stylee he talks about and their lead singer Trish were my personal fav's of the NYC scene)
