Skipping Gears

:( Hey Guys, I just got back from riding and put the bike in the car and when I got it out my gears started skipping :( How can I fix it???? Should I take it up for another service??? Any suggestions will help.

Is there any particular gear skipping? and is your deraliur(sp) hanger bent? look at those things and mabey try turning the adjustments on the deraliur and shifter(the ones near the cable). its probably one of those things.

if its happened after being in the car, id say you've probably bent the derailleur hanger a little. did you put it in derailleur side down?

All the gears are skipping :( and i put the bike upside down. ive tried some lube that didnt work

Get the bike upside down and look at the deraliur. look if it is parrallel to the wheel (not the spokes) if it isnt grab the deraliur near the hanger and bend it back carefuly. Make sure your not bending the deraliur. or take the deraliur of and get some big pliers and bend the hanger back until it is in line with the frame.

Good stuff guys.... I got it better i bent it back it helped a bit then i tuned it ... running smooth... I'll know for next time :D
