Well I know all you Wallabie supporters out there are in denial, so I thought I might aswell break the ice and start this thread myself (being an All Black supporter)... I wasn't at the game but I enjoyed every minute of it at home surrounded by Wallabie-backing mates who decided that there was nothing better to do when the Kiwis scored than beating me up (I've got a few good bruises now). Was anyone out there? Gotta love the atmosphere of a trans-Tasman footy match. It looked pretty tight for the first 20, but it eased up and we showed the green and gold what we're made of.
Call me over-patriotic, but god it feels good to be a kiwi when we win like that...

Personally l reckon that the kiwi's played really fucken dirty. Tripping up little george was ghey. They were soo bloody assregive, chest high tackles, swing arms and shoulder charges. Damn those huge maroi blokes!!

The Aussie's just need to down a few can's of 'Arden Up.
Did you seriously just complain about CHEST high tackles and shoulder charges? It's rugby mate, not fucking touch football, as much as it sucks to see Australia get worked like that, it's par for the course and if you make the mistake of running straight at a hard hitting team like the Kiwi's you can expect to get hit, hard.
The one positive Australia can take away from that match was Drew Mitchell's run-on debut, that kid has an extremely bright future ahead of him and is one of the best instinctive ball-runners / try-finishers we've produced in a long time.
Other than that, we were woeful, dominated in every scrum, disgraceful in our own lineout, OK at the breakdown and weak as piss in defence. We throw lineouts like an under 13's 5th-grade team in their first match together, how a supposedly 'professional' rugby team can suck in the lineout so completely is beyond me.

What exactly is the problem though? The wallabies lineouts have been abysmal for a while, who's the weak link, or is it just an utter lack of orginisation?

I seriously don't know and the more lineouts I see them take, the more it confuses me. It seems to be a combination of inconsistent throwing from both Cannon and Paul, and the fact that none of the forwards are capable of remembering exactly how the calling system works or what the calls mean.
the reason that the lineouts aren't working are because cannon got his hair cut. the long hair was his character. could you imagine george smith without his dreads? or lote tiquiri without his. don't think so. i think the backs need larkham back aswell.
highlight of the match that i saw (for me) was when lote tuqiri first got the ball and schooled half the blacks until he got tackled. YEAH LOTE!!! :D

i was there last night, was absolutly awesome. worried a bit at the begining.
The last try scored by the kiwi's was the best, kiwi followers went crazy.
It was good to see the kiwis win.

The same reason Knox is apple chappel. And Barker are Sheep Dorms, and Shore is a 12 thousand dollar cock fest.

I personally think the Kiwis played badly and the aussies played worse. Shoulder charges are illegal in all forms of rugby, however the interesting thing is the islander content of the "kiwi" team. I know we have pinched a few South Africans so we shouldn't talk but half the bloody kiwi back line is fijian or sumoan and suchlike Joe ratasomething for example is a Fijian.
That said I agree that our lineouts are crap. I really dont think we have had someone who could throw reliable for about 6 years. And send Gregan home, and tell Latham to pull his socks up. And someone get George Smith and Lotte to have a love child and then clone another 20 of them...then we'd really have a team!

you've obviously got a thing against private schools, but im not going to try change it. the only ones ive heard are;
-apple chapple (knox)
-soggy sao's (kings)
and these have actually happend. i dont have anything against those two schools, but is quiet sickening.

tell mortloc to piss off, put rathbone back on the run on, put lote in the centres get phil waugh back in the #6 david lions is slow a crap get rid of him, cannon rips on paul. The kid made a great debut he will be a key player.
the wallabies were just plain out classed on saturday. no excuses. fowards were dominated in every ruck, maul, line out and free play. backs were out ran, and just generally got schooled.

well anyway back to rugby, Im as aussie as it gets but i just go for whoever opposes the springbocks, even if it is the kiwi's.

Hahaha, the same applies to me, but I usually get confused as to which side to support when the Blacks clashes with the Wallibies...
I'm a Kiwi btw, and no, I don't hug sheeps.;)

Got it in one - the Kiwi's were hungrier, meaner, harder and better than we were last Saturday.
F**k it goes against the grain - agreeing with Ryan :p , but he's right here, and I simply cannot disagree. :D
