To anyone intersted there is a hip hop gig on at the landsdow hotel (opposite broadway shopping center, on George street, 10 minute walk from central station). 5 dollar steaks and burgers upstairs, come for a feed, beer and music.

No cover charge that im aware of.

The Herd are playing, and the supporting act is a band my brother is in, Back Yard Lab.

To anyone that is interetsed in listening to a new up and coming hip hop band come along and give them your support. Im not the biggest fan of hip hop but they sound really good.

Is this going to be an over 18s event? The herd have some pretty nifty flows so I would be keen to come along.

the Landy is a pub and as such and 18+ venue... doesn't mean you can't try...

It's not a metal gig (oh how I love Landsdownes free metal nights), but if I'm not doing anything else I might come and check it out.

They have all sorts... metalcore, grind, power, whatever. You'll find a black metal band or two playing there sometime soon enough, but it doesn't look like there's any soon.

I haven't been to a metal gig in eons - kids, work, uni getting in the way. Probably still a similar crowd as before?
