barspin problems

i ride a 2003 specialized P.3 and its size is small (p3's have two sizes, small and large) well anyway the thing it has to do with barspins is the when i go to spin the bar the front wheel hits the crank or my foot, and the only way to get the wheel around all the way is to put my foot down or up and not in the standard position, and this problem really sucks and there may be a way to be able to barspin with a small frame and not have the wheel hit my crank on the way round, if anyone has the same experience/solutions please post them, any input is appreiciated.

small 03 p3s are very short. to be able to barspin on it, you'll either need to (A) get a new frame, or (B) do all of the above. ^^

i have the same problem with my x-ups- when i get them heaps clicked they buzz my foot.. makes for an amusing fart noise :)
so i haven't gone for barspins yet, because i don't have money to get shorter cranks and/or 24" wheels

Which is your choco foot and what way do you spin the bars? CW or CCW?

eg: if your choco foot is your left [like me] try spinning the bars in a ClockWise [CW] direction to see if your wheel still hits ya toes, [sometimes that extra little amount of space makes all the difference] or...

nah if you have feet bigger then like a size ten then youll have issues-ive eaten it a few times trying them- i learnt that if you lower your seat a bit, then you have to lower one foot which means allthough a bit awkward you can chuck them - you then just gotta correct -it was the cheapest way for me to do it, but you may have to go with what everyone has said prior to this...

your chocolate or choco foot is the foot that you ride with infront of the other.like you either ride right foot forward or left foot forward. or you may be ambidextrous and ride either but probably not. good luck

ah.. i'm pretty sure that if your foot hits ur front wheel when u turn it clockwise then it will do the same counter clockwise, but just won't turn as much...

yep turn the bars the opposite way can usually do itdont know why but it works gives about 5 cam more clearence
or make em no foot barspins :D

on my ride i can get a clicked as x-up but it'll hit my foot. if i turn it the other way it looks like a retarded t-bar (coz t-bars aren't retarded enough as it is).. maybe its diff on other set ups. i don't know or care to tell u the truth..

Didnt you read in your owners manual? Your frame is obviously not compatible for jibbing and townhilling. Usually there is a sticker on the frame saying something along the lines of, "This frame is not for Jibbing and or townhilling".
