These are My Lego Technic Bikes...

1st is the M1…

It’s urber plush! It has 1.25" of travel which is 10" to scale. The forks are a bit of a let down... they only have 1/2" or 4" to scale. Sadly the head tube broke during the M1’s use from general in-house trashing, table hucks and 2 foot book doubles…:D

2nd is the VPP M3/V10! design. Took my bro about 1hr to get it right!

It works sweet! Has a little more travel too and better action than the M1. It sags under its own weight but ramps up nicely toward the end...:D

3rd is the scissor link design like Giant, D8...

With this design you can only run one shock. So even with the rising rate moto link, she still bottoms out on some of the bigger lines...:D

looks like it would be nice and light!

Does that have a 24" wheel up front and a 26" at the back?

Not sure about the seat either. But the bike as a whole looks a hell of a lot more solid than the full suspension 16 incher you had.

You guys have way too much time on your hands :D

Yeah, i think it has 24" front and back with 4" tyres! :D

[enter Regan's brother...]

Hmm... sick!

I'd like to see a pic of that one. A VPP frame would be fun! What was the size roughly?

Regan and I have also made a parallel linkage rear end (sorta like a DH-9) and also tried a scissor link. This was all done to the frame in the pics. With the scissor link, you could move the position of the rear linkage and adjust the rate.

Ahh Lego... good times. :)

it hadnt been built up yet :p obviously the shock mounting is a little different in the rear, but hey the idea is there.

Heres the scissor link rear end that my brother and I just whipped up...:)

Note the munted head tube after yesterday’s big book case...HAHAHAHA!!!

the temptation to pull out some of my big sets and whack together a big bike is overwhelming... i just build that up from bits and pieces i have in a box. one day when i have time maybe.

She’s broke! :( I’ve really done a good job of it this time. I will have to get a whole new head tube piece…

The wheels and head tube piece came with a Lego technic motocross bike, and the little shock and parts are from other Lego technic kits that I have...:)
