MY Ratbike- the beast

This is a picture of my ratbike, the beast, I have had it since I was 11 so for half my life, it has been jumped, thrashed and used for everything, it won't die, upgrades include :

old school downhill wheels- strong as
super comfort seat- biggest seat in world I'd say
Deore LX V brake
No gears- now single speed
caged metal pedals

Hahaha, reminds me of my uni bike. It was a McPherson strut mongoose, and all the pivots were boned. I was so broke I rode the bike to uni every day for 4 years.... with a blown shock. Full travel except for last cm unspung. When things broke, I just stuck whatever was cheapest on it, until it turned into something totally other (bright yellow front wheel nobody else would buy, bent handlbars etc). By the time I graduated and got a new bike, the only original thing on the bike was.... the frame and fucked shock. Happy days!

When I got my latest bike, I realised how much I owe that bike - I never realised I stuck my arse out cornering to take up the sideways slack in the linkage before! Keep up the good work keeping her going, some of my happiest memories about riding are related to my ratbike throught :)
