st mary's is a pretty cool track if you love riding on the equivalent of the suns surface, and then sliding out in ruts and getting HIV from syringes, but dont worry-the local devo's will take your bike and spray paint a cock on your wounded corpse for being such a dick and coming out there -apart from that i reccomend the place, its definately the best in the outter west.

If you're wanting to ride to Carso, it's a bit of a slog by public transport. I think Parramatta is the closest station, and it's uphill all the way up Windsor Road from there. If you're trying to find it, it's right down the back of Fred Caterson Reserve, off Gilbert Road. There's some cool little single track loops through the nearby bush too, and rumours of some trails nearby, but they're always getting flattened anyway.

Changes are being made to the track this week, Friday and Saturday. First straight double is being changed to a big step up/step down...thing... and some other changes as well. It's all for the Orange Blossom race which is their big Open of the year, September 18th. Be prepared to dodge kids and gumby parents on weekends. But it is a good fun track to ride. Keep an eye out for all the little hip jumps that have been built on the sides.

For other BMX tracks and info check http://www.bmxnsw.com.au/ for all the info. There's a list of clubs down the left hand side and they've each got their own website so you'll be able to get all you need. Have fun!

They are being changed into something less challenging. We all had a final session under lights on Wed night and then i went back today at lunch and made my girfriend takes some vid and photos of me hitting them for posterity. (spelling?).
They be gone by 10.00 am tomorrow.

Tahmoor trails aren't exactly a BMX track but are definitely within close riding distance from Tahmoor train station. From the city, it'll be a good 1.5 hour train ride though!
I'm not sure of the condition of the trails as I haven't been there in quite some time, but maybe someone here could give you a heads up on the conditions.

It was quite a dig...

Tahmoor trails are rideable, however they're not great (coming from someone who doesn't jump, but from what I saw and what the riders were saying)

The camden bmx track is another.
