hi, i ride alot of street and dj, and am wondering about the quality of a pair of kenda K-rads? they look the bling but will they grip in the dirt?
who has them and how do they feel?
ohh and pressure wise, they say up to 85psi, but that'd be almost roadie pressure n wouldnt it jack ur ankles on concrete?
cheers,
Scotty

are these for a dually? if its a hardtail its good to run them nice and hard. i have dmt moto's which are pretty much same design on my hardtail and i think they're pretty good. it depends what you expect from a street tire. im going to holyrollers as they have a bit more tread on them. good luck, Mitch.

Yeah they are pretty sweet. although a little budget. You'll notice the rubber fraying under tyre levers when you get them off. But none the less are a great street and dirt tyre. The tread pattern is a little deeper than holy rollers and more agressive to hook up better on dirt. The sidewalls are thin and wear quickly when doing grinds and slides. as far as running high tyre pressures on street, 85 psi is sweet. I know of bmx'ers who run over 100 psi, and they dont have suspension. But for the price they are a decent tyre.

I ride on K-rads. They are great on concrete, I use them on dirt but I wouldnt wanna thrash them, like they get kidna scary in the dusty bowl at the grove....but generally they are fine.

I have run the R-rads (second hand, so a little old but not deteriorated) for a little while. Generally they are good on pavement, ect, but IMHO the Holyroller is a more grippier tire (brand new you can hear the holyroller gripping on the ground).
I have even gone down Ourimba on the k-rads (altho I wouldn't recommend it), not good for traction in a lot of spots, but they did ok considering it isn't what they were designed to do.
Nice, lightweight, grippy urban tire, but I would probably get a holyroller over it.

Good buget tyre, good for street, good for dirt. I run mine at 65psi makes my bike go zoom(faster) at the jumps. The holy rollers are exey.
i swear by these tyres, tryed them first almost a year ago and havent run any other tyre since (sidewalls shouldnt matter if your runnin high enough psi (60) and they wear pretty slow) only gripe is in the wet haha
Yea, I totally agree with naz.. Ran them on my street wheelset for my stp and they are very nice.. I ran them at 75psi and they have lasted me up until this day which is around 8 or 9 months And they do grip pretty well in the dirt..
And no, run at 85pound they do not jack my wrists or ankles.. Heck even on my bmx (105 or so psi in the back, 85 on the front) it doesnt happen.
Hope this helps
Mike

i have krads on my street/commuter...and the first time at trying the krads(just got the frame painted) and it was wet...i found them to be a good tyre, but would suguest if you are going to ride when its at wet to get something else as it was hell slippy and i wouldnt do it to often unless i was looking to drift( heaps fun,but can become a pain) around nearly every connor...

ive had my K-rads for nearly a year and i love em. They still have plenty of life left in em! Great for street and skatepark riding, and still pretty good on dirt. Im not sure if they sell them anymore though
pink tyres are gonna be hard to resist. :)I have an idea... (http://drift411.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=494&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0)

When ive got 'em they're trick in dirt and they'll only really hold u back in serious XC and DH
And I say
Have them at 60psi
and also
They wouldn't feel like lansing on concrete because of the suspension.
But, don't get welder weight tyres, I went through three in 1 day!!

i had k-rad's for a while but imo they couldnt grip for shit, they were fast as all hell and real smooth for skate park and city but then i started to convert to light dh and more dj's and kept slippin up real bad so i got me some maxxis

Hey man i got a STP zero and i have K-Rads on it and they are awesome grip road and dirt but if the dirt is wet you may have a problem getting up steep hills but apart from that they are fine. i run my front tyre at 50-55 psi and my back at 65 psi cos im a larger rider (around 80 KGs)
It by no means gives you a concrete ride. It is good for dirt jumps and street.
Hope this helps :)

i run k-rads on my STP Zero,
perfect for street and skatepark, ok for dj but absolutely shithouse on DH and fast cornering on fine gravel and loose dirt or large gravel!
so get em if ur gonna ride concrete mainly and ur dj's arnt covered in fine loose gravel otherwise something else, i'm not sure.
if i had a dolar for every time my tires have washes out on gravel i'd have enogh for lunch
