Yeah it's a bit harsh.

But you weren't exactly being safe.

Hopefully it'll teach you to not speed. Seriously, sorry to hear about it , but you should be angry at yourself foremost. Just take it on the chin, it doesn't stop you from driving at least, which is cool, just limits you to 100 km/h yeah?

yeah i concede that i was speeding and that it was illegal, but i was also on a road that is am extension of a main road, it is a poorly sign posted limit change. even worse it was in my mums car, n she wouldnt take the demerit points even tho dad n i begged her... shits hit the fan now. ill probably contest it tho. cheers for ur comments too.

yeah 100km/h is correct, bu thats not the shit bit. jus the fact that u get hounded by the cops when parading around p plates.

I never got harrassed when I was on my P's, I guess it depends on where you are.

yeah i guess, i dunno, its jus the whole being on your p's thing thats irritating me. not to sound irresponsible or anything, but ill really miss jus having one beer at a party or over a schnitty n chips at teh pub with mates. ah well i did it n i guess i deserve the punishment.

i dont know wat state this is in but, my mate got done for 29kms over the limit and only got 2 months and a big fine, but i think it all depends on wat mood the cops are in and how u treat them when u get pulled over, i got pulled over for ding 11 kms over the speed limit told them some bull story and they just said dont do it again, but i am on my l's, whether or not the makes a difference i dunno, but the cop seemed to but in a good mod

well im in SA and i was under the impression that vic laws are a lot stricter than ours. i was done by a camera not a cop. ive had mates doin 16 over the limit n they got 6months extension, another, no extension at all!!
Also the Earl of Leciseter in Unley SA has the BIGGEST schnittys eva! im a conisseur if i do say so myself n these things are huge. ya get 1/3 way through, then think "this isnt fun anymore" hahaha

well wat else makes the perfect side? bitta salad wont go astray either. wat they really need is a complementary bread roll to mop the gravey up with, otherwise is a pure n utter waste. mmmm with pepper gravey (insert homer style drooling here). im so hungry now. mite need to pop down to teh pub n get one i think.

So are you now on your P's for four years?
In vic we don't get extentions we loose it for a while. I think if you 25k's over you loose it for 6 months.

I drive a 4x4 and I'm on my P's in Victoria. I was driving home a couple of nights ago when a commodore got pulled up that was next to me. It was a P plater. So I think here the focus on what you driving more then just the P plater label. If you were speeding theres no excuse I'm sorry to say. However I'm probably only saying that cause I envy the ablilty to over take on freeways.

The problem is all the roads in victoria are dead straight and boring so it is incredibly easy for you speed to creep up over the spped limit. Also the cameras in vic are differernt. They sit inside unmarked cars with a camera trained on you.

In sydney the roads are a little more curvy so you have to slow down to make it round all the corners. Also any fixed speed camera must have 3 warning signs on the side of the road.

I have been driving for 3 years in sydney and never got a single ticket. Then I was in geelong for 2.5 months and got 2. The system is much stricter in vic, which is why i perfer driving in sydney.

Oh man, I chuckled so hard at that..:D

Just slow down dude, I'm probably the only guy in a group of azns that drives 5ks and sometimes 10ks(when I'm munching KFC behind the wheel) slower...yeah, you get peer pressure from them calling you a bitch for driving slower, but it's not worth risking yours and most important, others lives on the road. Speed kills, don't get sucked into by the whole 'drag' hype.:)

agreeed.

nothing funnier than a hoon/rice-boy smoking off at the lights, only to have you creep up to them at the next set of lights :D

Shirtz does your Mummy bail you out all the time? Heaven forbid someone take responsibility for their actions. He'll thank his Mum down the track when he's learnt from this, he'll be a safer driver (hopefully).

yeah yeah thanks for all ur comments n slaps on the wrist. jus to set teh record straight, i wasnt drink driving n i never will. Ive had mates who have almost killed themselves n others by being irresponsible like that. Yes im stupid for not seeing the car. i can usually spot them but there was another car parked rite behind it, hence blocking it form my vision. n i know ill neva do it again. on top of the $160 fine i get slapped $70 for breach or contract(p's contract) n another $70 to get another licence with the extended date on it! so now im poor and ashamed...
