I'm looking for help I've got a Sram Dual Drive rear hubs, with 3 speed internal gears. But the axle is a 10mm and a different pitch on the thread, any one know where I can get nuts to fit it??

You'll be looking for a 10mm UNF nut. ie a it's got a 10mm thread with a 1mm pitch. Best place to go is a bolt shop. If possible take the axle with you to ensure what you get will fit.

I've had it into a couple of fastner places this week, but the pitch is less than 1mm. I'm not an expert, and I am relying on the sales guys advice, but the guy was saying there are three common types of pitch and this is finer than normal. We tried a 1mm pitch and doesn't fit. He was suggesting putting a die onto the axle and then fitting a 1mm pitch nut, but I figure that'll make the hub basically unserviceable..

UNF is an imperial thread and has NO relation to 10mm. If it is 1mm pitch you are after (instead of standard 1.5mm pitch) then you are looking for M10 x 1, fine metric series.
