hey'all
i just got one, and have never had the experience of having to size one down. what special procedures do i have to do?? i'd imagine just going the chop with a big rusty hacksaw wouldnt be the best...
Dremel/similar rotary tool with a cutoff wheel... wear eye, ear and breathing protection, try to keep the dust under control.
Or, a very fine hacksaw blade, cutting with almost no downward pressure. Use a cutting guide, and let the weight of the saw do the work.

You MUST wrap the area you are cutting in electric tape to ensure the ends dont fray out.
WRAP IT TIGHT AS POSSIBLE, then just cut through the tape with a good hacksaw blade, dont use any rotory tools just a good hacksaw will do the trick.
if you dont wrap it, there will be disaster!

Hours with a hacksaw? Shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
The guys above are right. Use masking tape, draw a line where you want to cut or buy/make a guide and use a fine tooth hacksaw blade. Check out the easton web site for detailed instructions.
