hi
just wandering if anyone owns a pair of THE mtb forks. Because they almost impossible to find on the internet, there not even on the THE site and although i do know they exist , the only trace that i can find on them is on the elite cycles web page and they only metion that they have them on there product list. ANY info would be helpful thanks.

A friend of mine (and ex-workmate) used to own a set.
They were the upside downers and were one of the only ones officially imported into Oz.
I don't think he has them anymore, not sure where they ended up.

as far as I know, they were produced and sold for a season or two.
Bill Dengate (DHD on here) used to import them. they were produced by Kowa in Japan, but were then dropped from profuction by THE. I think Kowa still makes them under their own name (same model names though , MOBS stage 2, blah. contact DHD about it.)

well all that i know is that i saw a guy with them at the windsor dirt jumps and they look awsome. and that Elite cycles have them listed on there product list so you might still be able to bye them. there are three models two with 180mm travel and one with 200mm. they also have avent dh frames which look alright and they would be rare.
i emailed them to see if you can go and view the products at the warehouse.
The THE websit is www.THE.com i think.

nice way to keep customers away idiot!!
We have a pair of the MOB stage 2 hangin up with blue decals. I wanted them for my sinister at one stage. And lil Moodge (the dog) is only ankle height and sleeps all day.
I'd say ur best bet would be to email, call or PM Petri about them.
