93 Riders turned up for the Joint WS CT and CC club round at Lithgow.
Despite a few little timing glitches the day went off pretty well.
The one downer caused by the morons who decided that they were too good for the buses provided and so packed up their red 4x4 for a private shuttle. Then prooved they couldn't drive an alcoholic to drink when they ran into one of the buses on the fire rd.
There is a reason we say "No private Shuttles" guys.

You Sasquatch (Pylot?) guys were given premission and strict instructions, which you followed to the letter and thus had no issues.
In effect we hired your bus and trailer for the day.
The other idiots just took it on themselves without letting either the officials or the bus drivers know. The results were a couple of thousand $$$ damage to Noels Bus. It could of been worse.

Results are up on WSMTB and most probably CTMTB by now. A few corrections had to be made, the radio died half way throught the race which made life a little hard. Casteck uses a land line all 2 kilometres of it, but thats what you pay for.
On the shuttles, Pylet asked if they could use their bus, they were granted permission on the condition that they stayed with the other busses at the top, which I checked and they did just that. For that they had the $10 paid for the busses taken off the entry price. The same would have occurred for the Mortdale bus, some arrangement would have occurred. Individuals running shuttles or small groups gets in the way of the busses on single track.
Downhillers are racers and as a group do not seem to be able to separate track from road. When I have experienced private shuttles it is even more scarry than Noel, pony tail and santa, on the race track every one is going the same way, was it Ourimbah that the private shuttle rolled a day or so before the state race? Last Nationals during the week I was nearly hit by a private shuttle at Lithgow and how he missed the stump as he speared off the road I'll never know.

One thing which people maybe need to realise is that the shuttles are travelling on PUBLIC ROADS. Thus all road rules and such apply. Even if the shuttle may be actually on private land, as the land in these cases is for public access and use, ALL normal road rules apply.

Props to the organisers.
The event ran really smoothly, which was a really nice way to start racing again. I'll definately be racing there again and also completeing the remainder of the WSMTB club series too.,
Thanks to all involved.
