desert? next to Ayres Rock?
Just build where theres no access for dozers and is hidden from public and also keep the area clean and quite if you want them to last!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA, it sounds funny, not that i hav a clue watchu mean but hey hahahahahaha english teacher!
jumps are hard to keep up i agree, like some guyz (spaz and lotec(he has a grudge against me for no reason so its time to fight back) for instance) struggle to keep something else up ;) but yeh if u keep em secretish, keep lil kids away from it , otherwise they tell their parents, their parents get worried and then call in the council to knock em down, and ye a place where dozers cant get in is a good idea, but mostly just need to be hidden and secret (from everyone cept farkiners!)

telling farkiners is possibly the worst group of people to tell about trails.

so very very true
edit: should add something so i don't get banned....
ah.... i'd just make sure they're deep in the bush were there is good soil. not near fire access roads or anything. keep the area tight though. i.e. don't go clearing large areas of land, just to have an area to hang out at with some random jumps around the area. just clear the path for the jumps and leave it at that. if they're good enough to expand and require more clearing then thats fine though. otherwise keep it to a minimum. don't plan a line of jumps that requires large size/amounts of trees to be cleared. just think a bit before you do anything and don't tell anyone about them and you'll be cheerin'

church land is good to build trails on, they just don't like it when your chopping up trees that are on your track with axes:o
Honestly though, posting the location of your trails on farkin is like a request for them to get dozed isn't it?

Um no i shouldnt say that (what was editted) we love the councils, if they dont flatten jumps and help with officaly recognised jumps which is great but part of having jumps is the fun of having them hidden for your self:)

pretty sure they would get the knock down there too. I think it's aboriginal heritage area... :P
But yeah, find somewhere out of site and keep it in your close nit riding group or they will be visited by people who hurt themselves and decide to blame everything but themselves...
And if you find a good spot consider yourself lucky.
Happy hunting! :)

We've had the same experience down here in A'sea. The location of a big step up was posted on farkin, and somehow it got back to Alcoa (who own the land) and it was flattened.
Pretty poor effort on their part since the bike park they promised us (in May 2003!!!!) hasnt been built. Easiest way to prevent us from building jumps is by giving us somewhere so ride

Thats right the easiest way to stop us from building is to give us somewhere to ride, me and my mate are working a trck in townsville no one knows about and won't for a while they are about 6ft high and their are 5 so far!!! yeah so have trying to find a descent spot to build dj's
cheers
