Anyone wanna ride in dural/galston/glenorie etc?

Anyone out there from the north of sydney near castle hill, or further north?

im lookin for some ppl who might wanna hook up for some local rides... i live in dural myself, and cant really find any wicked trails out my way! I know arcadia has some sick rides! but i need ppl who know where to go, to go ridin with...

I ride a shitty old specialised ground control '97 model or something, but ill do almost anything put in front of me that someone else can ride... i ride ourimbah with some mates every few weeks or so, but its a long way to go... i need to find a similar run or two out near my place so i can practice... Me and my mates started developin a track out in glenorie but it kinda got forgotten about... LOADS of potential but just needs some enthusiastic helpers workin bees for a couple of weekends before its fully sick again...

as i said, i just need some ppl who are interested in goin out for some social hardcore freerides/downhills etc... but i dont mind a bit of cross country so long as there arent too many uphills...

man my mum lives out at arcadia, and i went for a pedal, but couldnt find a whole lot. ill watch this thread and see if i can ride when u guys do!
as for building, i reckon i could tee up some blokes to build a decent track... id it was going to be a decent one... ;)

Hello, i live in Kellyville which isn't far from dural or arcadia, I know a few good potential spots for dh and a bit of free out the back of kenthurst and arcadia.

I would be happy to help build some tracks, we need more in that area. :)

So, yeh...

Ellerman park has been around for years and has a few good jumps and loads of space for developing tracks etc... A few of my younger friends who ride bmx head out to it all d time in school holidays... i reckon they are a little tight and i much prefer the layout of jump-parks such as red hill and the like... Fred Catterson is much the opposite, a traditional bmx race track, with gap jumps, doubles, a step up and a few rhythms... but its constantly changing, as there are people involved in the running and upkeep for race days etc... The layout stays basically the same though...

Anyways, the main reason i am on here trying to find people to ride with is more for freeride/hucking/downhilling etc... i need people with the guts to do big shit, and tracks nearby that i can get to...

mr636, as i said i am well in the process of developing a track in glenorie... its got northshore built, loads of drops, a good tight berm that needs work on the entry, hecktic roll-downs, etc etc... it begins on the flat and heads down and across the hills and cliffs... its even got space for a six or eight pack! i just need motivated guys to help motivate my mate... there is only two of us, well four really... my brother and my mates gf's brother aswell, but they usually are doin other shit... pm me, and we can sort somethin out, or maybe i can hook u up with some pics and you can think about it... only problem is its a bit overgrown atm cuz of lack of attention due to our hectick schedules...

ellerman park, is that the one in dural where the library squash courts are? what exaclty is in there?

there is a track at the end of the road ( dont know the name) but when you go into kenthurst and you get to kenthurst public school you go left at the round about follow that to the end. apparantly alpha cycles were workin on sumthing, there, no idea if they finished it.

does anyone know anyhere where there are some smallsih jumps in that in that area? i wsnt to learn how to take them better for my trail riding so jus tneed to learn a bit....

hey guys..went for a cool ride out at galston on the weekend. track finishes in the gorge and is shuttleable...you will have tocheck the photo's ... my handywork and pm trust in gravity about riding with him ...he can only ride sundays i believe...
