Budget?
How much travel do you want (don't put anymore than 130mm on a STP)

I was running 03 DJ 3's on my STP 2 at 110mm of travel. IMO it made the bike feel soo much better.

A mate of mine runs a pair of 03 dirt jump III ( 130mm) and they runs very plush. You could pick a pair of second hand ones for cheap on farkin.

Your gonna like snapping your frame, and I bet the geo on your bike is totally fucked.

i ran 173mm shermans on my STP, the geo was actually still good.
and it was wicked to ride, easily usable travel, good for street, DJ's, and a bit of downhill, and i never had no snapped frameness or anything.

Your a filthy liar.
The only shermans that come with that much travel, are breakouts, and breakout+
They have 1.5 steerer tubes, aka, they won't fit on a STP.

You might want to consider the DJ2 or 3's they are extremely light and feel great.

That isn't a 1.5 steerer, hence can't be breakouts.

Then they can't be Breakouts. Breakouts are 1.5" only. Besides, the frame is made for ~100mm travel... any more and you may as well go for a different frame (something more DH oriented).

they are 150mm flicks, i'd also say they had a travel adjust knob on the top of the LHS stanchion.

yeh was wondering when someone would figure it out.
they're actually Sherman Flick+ with breakout+ lowers,
150mm on this frame is fine. i ride DH, BMX tracks, trails and anything in between and they're all good.

if you want decent ones id say spend a bit extra. Sell ur EXRs for about 150 here on farkin or ebay. save ur cash for a nice pair of DJII's or Pike SLs
Very Plush....:P
Dont get any more than 140 mm travel!
