I thought i might mention the greatest ride i have ever been on. as you may know saturday had thunderstorms and we were up on our track which overlooks so much land and there was about 15 of us all on the mountain, going as fast as we could down the single trail in a warm weathered shower, with constant lightening flashing and thunder roaring. it was truely an awesome experience and we did have the helmet cam out, but it turned off after i hit record so i cant post any footage. i included a pic to show u what the view was like so you can picture what the lightening looked like. Please feel free to post your most memorable downhill run too.

My last holidays I travelled around the world with my wife and Yeti in tow.
I have a mate who lives on the North Shore. Rode there, it is over rated, then we went to Whistler.
We stayed there a few days, and had so much fun. I have never ever done so many runs on that first day.
Garbanzo Freight train was wet and we got lost. But then into Dirt Merchant, Aline.
Then a few runs of Schlayer into B line into heart of darkness.
It was just unreal, being relaxed on holidays, with my best mate that I used to ride with over here.
The next day we hit A line, anyone who has been there will tell you A line is like a drug, you just can't stop doing it! We would plan a trail on the way back up, but at the last minute go do A line.
My knee sweeled up like a balloon, My fingers were purple and arthritic and killed. But great times, just punching out runs till 8pm

Then I went onto Les Gets, it was great too. Les Boomerang Chalet is a great Aussie MTB themed place, and just what I needed after travelling through Europe for the month before hand.
Great tracks, more race orientated then Whistler. Braking bumps galore.
An awesome experience, once in a life time for me.

If I am having a bad day, I just dream of Whistler :D

^^You basterd:p

Man i dream of going to whistler, any place in the world i would goto would be there, sounds like a dream to me, wish i could go there:(

As for me, best riding experience would have to be the wet toowoomba DH race, that was LOOOTTTSSAAA fun, so good, but the equal to that was riding the dry woomba track, mmmm, nice....

I havn't been to all that many DH tracks so far, but brooky and woomba where good for me.

trying to keep up with Lopes down Dirt Merchant onto A-line in the local toonie ($2 including beer) race nights at Whistler - It was 'no chain' race night, you had to pump everything.
