well, for the sake of starting something. how did everyone go in state comp. this season???
i made it to all but two rounds(thredbo and canbarra)and did mid field in sport consisantly. as always i woulda ,shoulda an coulda done better!but overal i feel i did alright.
(i need to ride MORE)
so all thats left for me now is to do a coupla club rounds an finish me home track and respray/rebuild my bike. ready for next season.
which i hear will be a shorter more precission run machine than it's predesessors.

I had problems at every race.

At thredbo i fucked my ankle and then killed my drivetrain on Sunday Practice, resulting in a chainless run. The track was pretty good (the new off camber straight instead of the switchbacks was mad as), and the venue is generally just awesome.

At Wandandian i crashed pretty badly in the last corner. That was a pretty sweet track, i wished it stayed dry, because first and second run on Saturday was amazing.

At Amazon i crashed out practicing, with my wrist swollen pretty badly. This was pretty dissappointing, because the track was wicked and definately the best track- probably the only one that was challenging the whole way down.

At Ourimbah I was having a great weekend until i discovered that my forks were cracked under the arch, and i opted not to race for safety. That and i can't pedal.

Finally at Lithgow i stayed upright for the weekend, and managed to pull my best (timewise and position) run of the season, even after still screwing the lower rockface to the bridge section.

Looking forward to a more consistant national season. :)

Well I have to say I did alright considering I broke my Collar bone for the 2nd time in 9 weeks (it was such a weak crash too. The first time wasn't) when I was racing at Thredbo and DNFed, so missing every race until Awaba Where I sprain my wrist in the Carnge Garden but still manage a third. Then a huge crash in the rock garden at Ourimbah but managed to slot into 5th (I'm begining to think that maybe I should take up a sport where I don't fall of as often). Then at Lithgow even though it was raining I hate the wet I got 2nd so finishing the series in 7th and 2nd in the champs for Masters 1, so all up I was happy.
I thought it all up was a excellent series proberly the best so far. Its good that it is getting more professinal with state plates and Sponsors galore. Maybe soon we won't have to watch cricket on TV and we can watch DH and XC instead, Oh to dream.

Got a DH bike just in time for Canberra and got on the podium in my first race, 'old farts' category. Then each race from then on went consistently backwards to the point of crashing out in practise at Ourimbah and I'm still in a cast and haven't ridden since.

So really a year of regression.

i'm pretty pleased
raced in "dads army" (Masters 2)
managed to get to every round, had mad transport issues for the first round and also had to use a borrowed bike
i think that "Big Pink" made it's first appearance at Thredbo, didn't do to well in the first few rounds but managed 3rd, then 2nd then 1st for the last 3.
finished the season with 2nd over all in the serise and also won the Champs round at Lithgow, i LOVED the wet!!!!

great organisation from all the clubs throughout the season, big props to all the clubs, PixelPics, all the shops that gave prizes, Steve H and the Grundy's and everyone who gave up their time to make it happen

From an organisers point of view a good season.

Kempsey 1st race for club and 1st time track used, transport worked well, track was different to others in state, this is good, parking was good, timing was 1st class. Prizes good and presentation a little far away but a lot of fun.
Wet weather may cause problems with transport, will have to address riders cutting track possibly “well defined edges of a track constitute bunting and that riders crossing the well defined edge of a track are subject to the same rules as those that cross the plastic tape that is described as ”bunting””.
Jumps will need review.

Thredbo, race transport worked well (ha, ha), track was different to others in state, timing was 1st class. As usual no parking police made parking not too bad. Presentation quick on site and good prizes.

Canberra 1st race at Stromlo, race transport worked well, parking was good, track was different and that is the B tack, boy will the A track be hard and when the trees grow up. Timing 1st class, much better than our effort last year, prizes need improvement and but presentation quick and close.

Wollongong 1st race for club and 1st time track used, transport had issues in wet weather and location of rego and finish was difficult, parking was difficult, track was different to others in state, that drop over the log was scarry, timing was 1st class. Prizes good and presentation quick and close.

Hunter AWBA race transport was long leading to line snakes, parking was better with the new finish which made the end of the track better if that was possible, numbers were down possible because the track is not easy and gets the most difficult tag in this years series but I liked it. Cash prizes and presentation quick and close.

Ourimbah the most used track in the state next to Thredbo, as usual transport great, "busses waiting for riders" parking not too bad, track changed to account for the massive use. Over $5000 in prizes, presentation quick and close.

Lithgow , race transport worked well, track is evolving well, timing was 1st class. Parking 1st class. Will have to address riders cutting track possibly “well defined edges of a track constitute bunting and that riders crossing the well defined edge of a track are subject to the same rules as those that cross the plastic tape that is described as ”bunting””.
Presentation quick on site, love the shed, and good prizes.

What a great series indeed. Despite missing out on Kempsey and Canberra, I still managed to weasel the time off to check out the other courses. Started off with a 12th place in Threders, and just kept getting better and better thoughout the series... till Lithgow where it just poured down for race day. I suck big time in mud so I ended the series with my worst result of the year. Yeeoow!

I still find racing to be a great way to travel around, check out diffrent tracks, and meet some great people. Lookin foward to Thredbo at the end of the year.

Thanks all all the organisers, sponcors, and volunteers for the endless hours they've donated.

"(the new off camber straight instead of the switchbacks was mad as)"

You gotta be kidding! Thats was the best part of the track at Thredbo! Pity it's not going to be there next season either.

I did Canberra (New shifter after axing the pallet drop), Thredbo, Wandandian (New derauillier after first run somehow clipping it on that bloody log with the rocks) and then I was OS Snowboarding for the last two races which was disapointing.

All were pretty good, Wandandian was hard on the organisers being a remote location and tough conditions. I liked the track and actually went down there last weekend for a bash(Good stack off the drop Eke haha!).
Stromlo was awesome. Interesting watching the track getting flogged out over the weekend. It wasn't the same run on Sunday afternoon as it was on Saturday morning thats for sure (New lines everywhere too). Getting there early on Saturday morning was a bonus as I did about 8 runs before I had to wait for a bus ride.

Too lazy to make it to Lithgow.

My only complaint would be having the first race on the Easter weekend. Bit hard to get away on big holidays like that.

Well done to all involved.

Great Season, at least some time to rest now.
Anyone know where to get the current points table?
