Aside from Mt Big Bit at Batemans Bay where CORC runs some of its races, any other tracks apart from those you've already mentioned would have to be built either on private land or in the Canberra Nature Parks.

Any militant dog walker who demands the right to have their dog off the leash shitting in the wild without being disturbed by inconsiderate pesky mountain bikers can tell you that building DH track in the Canberra Nature Parks is a very naughty thing to be doing.

For this reason, there's a fair bet that anyone who had constructed an illegal track such as this (Dr Roper will spank you...) wouldn't be posting its location on Farkin.

Sam and any other CORC reps, This post is in no way intended to be seen as a dig at either CORC or Dr Roper. I appreciate that CORC has done a lot of work in community liason and organised trail access. I'm also fully aware that, at the present time, it is actively dissuading folks from constructing track in Canberra NP's so as not to tarnish the good name and reputation they have worked to build up.

There may well be some around but I'm not aware of them. Some of the more clandestine ACT track builders at Farkin may be able to get in touch with you via PM if they wish you to be aware of the tracks they've constructed.

just climb up any nearby hill and there will be some singletrack heading down in the form of a DH track. good hils with such rogue tracks include mt ainslie, black mountain, mt rogers and mt painter (the last two are in fraser and cook respectively) no actual track locations but just have a look around and it isnt too hard to find something.
