View Full Version : DownHill Ride Weekend @ Barjarg, Vic...

Hey everyone! Spread the word. Its only 3 weeks away!

Get a full blown weekend of as many or as little runs as you want. With none of the usual race day stress.

Its happening the weekend of October 8th/9th. Its got everything you would expect. Free camping, Heaps of great hot food available all weekend, fast transport turnaround times, movie theater for the nights entertainment.

There are four of us that are keen, downloaded the forms already. I didnt get up there for the last race but others did and said it is one of the better tracks getting round in Vic. Looking forward to it.

Barjarg is Half way between Mansfield and Benalla about 2 hours out of Melbourne a more detailed map and directions will be posted on www.smbp.com.au soon.

Well, if there is enough interest ill setup a tv at the transport pickup area so you can check out bathurst between runs.

Yes, There are a heap of pics floating around. Check out the clubs website (www.smbp.com.au) and go to the media link. In there you will find Video, Pics, Clict review ect. Go check it out.. Or wait untill Saturday and see the track in the flesh. Ill see you there!

I'd guess they would be toughing it out down there. The weather has been average , a few showers , but nothing drastic.

Just like to say a quick thanks to everyone that turned up and an even bigger one to everyone who helped out with driving and the building of the dirt jump..... We hope you all had a good weekend.
The weather was pretty average but still a good weekend was had some riders were getting 15 runs a day easily....
Lots of fun was had by betting on which cars would get bogged and need a tow out....
I didnt get much of a chance to take photos but im sure some of the riders did so hopefully they will get posted. Keep your eyes out on the website www.smbp.com.au for more events to come.

Apparently theres another ride happening this weekend at the Healesville DH track? Any info on that?

Yeah, sure is. Its a build day saturday. Ride sunday.. Go to the Fatties website (www.ftf.com.au) and you can find all the details.

There is no real XC track at the moment, but there are plenty of Motocross loops around the place that will in time be turned into some XC tracks
