just wondering what a good full face helmet would be for a beginner/ish rider.any suggestions on what to get, new or second-hand??

If i were you i would get a new one. A second hand one would smell a bit and would be all sweaty. Just my opinion.

If u live in Melbourne you could go down to VicMtb im pretty sure they have some nice Giro mad max 2 full face helmets for around $200.

if u've got 300 to play with go onto torp7 and get a 661 Full Bravo Carbon.. i think thats close to 300? i've got one and its AWSOME..

$250 will get you a brand new giro mad max helmet. They are hell comfy and do the job nicely, pretty good value for your money. I would recommend one.

yea go the Bell Bellistic. Theyre about 150 and perfectly fine for the beginner/intermediate DHr. They r fairly light and sturdy. Will do u fine.
