Hi all. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of any decent trails in the Wollongong area? I'm at Liverpool and usually ride Lucas/Engadine/Burgh/Penrose etc, but am keen to find some more trails that are within an hour's drive. Any suggestions? Into cross country trails, I'm not a downhill beast!

Why not add a bit extra travelling time and come down to nowra and ride some awesome trails that we have made.

The best XC riding in Wollongong would probably be Broker's Nose.
To get there, park at the truck bay which is on the left as you go down Mt Ousley heading into Wollongong (they often have Driver Reviver stops there).
There is a gate with a trail which connects to a pretty big network of singletrack as well as fire trail. There is a great lookout (Broker's Nose) which is the perfect place to stop for a drink/snack and check out the view.
I know you said you're not so much into DH, but there are some pretty fun descents which lead down the escarpment. But then you'd somehow have to get back up to your car.
I'll try and add a map soon...
Cheers :)

Dilemma, how much riding would there be at Broker's Nose, in terms of "time"? Just wanna be sure that it's worth the trip down.

There's enough to keep you out of trouble for a couple of hours, depending on which trails you do and how many times you do them.
