No mud, no pine roots and tempratures in the mid 20's ah riding in Sydney is so good, see you in C grade and that C'dale is mine, mine I tell you.

So I logically need a new SS to go with it. Sounds pretty reasonable to me!

I'm going to turn up for my first club race ever with my mate Duncan,
(who might just be riding a SS).
even if it is club champs im going to have a go.
im not sure which class to enter d might be to easy and i dont know if i'll go in A class
I might flip a coin to see if I end up in B or C.
and a dry course the mont was so energy sapping
see you all on sunday
I'll be on an Ellsworth Truth.

Fair'nough, but surely you picked up something extra p0rn on your recent travels.
Dreggsy, you should resurrect your singlespeed. You'll do well in C and even possibly B.

Building up a new Retro SS out of my old Litespeed, looking for some old school Amp linkage forks, canti brakes etc, and anything anodized.
I might try B class and see how I go.

Better to go down in a glorious effort in B grade than to be that sand bagging bastard in C (everybody hates that guy!).
I'd usually be middleish in B grade, and as i recall you're a pretty similar speed to me.

What a great course,
its the first time i've been there,
I love those kind of trails, it kind of reminds me of all those years ago when i was cutting my teeth throught the great north walk,(which is illegal to do now).
I ended up racing in B grade. Not that much in the way or overtaking room
I was triing to play catch ups with one of the guys, but he was alway that 1 corner away.
Fun was had, no crashes either,
Would be interested in seeing the results.

Glad to hear that you liked the course because it had a fair bit of work put into it before this year's state race to make it more flowing. I would have enjoyed it a lot more to if I didn't get a farkin flat tyre on the first lap :(
I started on the results last night but didn't quite get them finished before the boss got onto me about a few other jobs around the house that needed doing before the weekend was out.
Should have them finished tonight so check the website tomorrow.

My first time too. Loved the course. Too bad about my level of fitness. Congrats too all the organisers. Job very well done. You even organised having the rain hold off (i had to leave early so i hope it held off until the end of the a grade). did anyone get a ride on the new cannondales?

There's a few more pic coming, having a few issues with the upload.
Nice work with the races all year guys, hope SS will remain on the card for next year (may be even the summer short track?).
Of course the question on every one's lips was where was PDogg?

We're an organised club but you don't need to be a member to race. If you're not a member you buy a day permit, then just pay the race entry. At present we only have XC racing in action, as we don't have a useable DH course. If some XC on the side takes your fancy, keep an eye on the website. We'll have a summer short track XC series starting soon.
Alchemist, it's nice to be missed. Schucks.
