Hey everyone,

Does anyone know of any bike stores that may be trying to clear 05 stock? My mate wants to get an XC bike, probably an 06 Giant Alias or an 06 Giant XTC3. His budget is about $1350.

As an option, I thought maybe he could buy an 05 bike which I know some bike stores would have on sale.

So does anyone know of any stores that are on sale (preferably in Sydney, or stores that are willing to deliver to Sydney)?

Also, what do you guys think of these two bikes and are there better options for this price point?

For that kind of budget the XTC 3 is really good!

Buy this, if you are after a XTC 3 it looks great condish and very cheap, i doubt it'll go for over $600, If I had the $, I'd buy it.

I've seen 05 XTC2's go for $1200 in melb - Freedom Cycles I think they're called..

Freedom Machines? I checked and it's not listed on their website so it looks like they've sold out. Thanks. At least this gave me an indication of whats on sale.

dont go by there website. Give them a call. The website is not hte most accurate

I've seen a few of the 05 NRS3's on sale for around the $1300 mark. Good bikes.

I just got a Giant Iguana for $800, which has been superseeded by the alias, prob at the bottom end of ur budget... but maybe worth a look

And where did he got it from. I am asking because my friends looking for XTC3 as well and thats pretty cheap.

OH ok, he bought it from ABC bikes at Liverpool (thats in Sydney). I get a 10% discount there. RRP is $1499.

10% discount is pretty good on a 06 model. Most shops will probably give you pumps and tubes for free but not a striaght discount.
