If you are going to get your helmet airbrushed, use Createx Auto Air paint. It's waterbased and designed for that type of use.

You sure about that?

I know I asked this question before, and the answers I got revolved around the fact that you could use whatever paint you want, as the paint never actually comes into contact with the helmet's shell.

The important thing is your primer (which will go straight onto the prepped shell). You need a primer that firstly will not harm the helmet, and that will secondly be compatible with whatever sort of paint you use for your topcoats.

I don't know exactly what is available though so I can't help you there, although I *thought* that the pro's like Troy Lee and Dylan Dean used automotive paints from PPG and the like, so there must be a primer that suits. Try searching this forum too, I'm sure Jeremiah replied to a similar thread that I posted a couple of years ago.
