Oh my god. Somebody went for that gap....

That gap has been dicussed for months now on NSMB.com and Pinkbike.

People were saying it was too sketchy with the concrete barriers there.

Jesus... I hope that guy is alright.....:(

That gap could EASILY kill you if you hit one of those barriers (which you have to thread the needle through...)

he was so close to that barrier, if u look really close like. his bike like hits it, why did they build the landing so close to it, wouldn't it be smart to put the landing in the middle of the gap not to one side.

I imagine he kept holding the camera in his hands, then tried to look at his mate properly. i mean, if your friend had just worked himself that badly, would you honestly be trying to hold the camera in the right spot?

yea if u look closley u can see he bails and his bike is flat like a pancake just before he lands its a massive drop they could have moved the cement things

the run up looks sweet i think he can do it with a bit more speed and ride out perfect

that drop is HUGE. Whoever the rider is has some balls to actually hit that thing. I'm amazed that the guy looked alright at the end of the video, i thought he would have had some serious brakage goin on, lucky for him he looks alright tho...

Knowing that the penalty for failure was very high, you'd think that they would have had an ambulance on standby or something!! :p
However, he gave it a go and big ups to the dude. I'd be willing to bet that the next time he tried it he would go close to nailing it.
As for me, well, i'll leave that kind of thing to people who don't mind hurting themselves as well as trashing their bikes!!!!! :D

If you look closely you will see it actually is in the centre of 2 barriers theres one on the right side of the landing behind the grass.
But bloody good effort to the guy that hit it thats ballsy as!!

You are right.
I had the same feeling.
He bailed to the left of the bike, pushing it to the right into the barrier.

Very unlucky to not have a bit more speed and to have hit the ramp with a bit more trajectory to the left, and he may have nailed it.

So lucky to have hit the tranny when he bailed or it could have easily been another Grant Allen or "Drop In Episode 8" coming up a bit too short.

Look of all the dumbass things people could do i gotta say that even benders not dumb enough not to wear a helmet. I think even he realises how little chance he has of landing what he does. This guy was smart enough to wear as much protection as he could.
