Hello fellow bikers
At the begining of September a guy called [Admin - No real name needed], Farkin name; Bire sold various parts off a Giant ATX DH2. I bought the frame and other Farkin members bought the remains like; forks, wheels, saddles etc. It has been almost 7 weeks since we purchased these items and he has shown NO sign of sending them.
If anyone has dealt with bire please dont hesitate to reply.
This was removed for the use of the user-in-questions real name and is now "back up in the spot" as it were.

got to be able to find him before you can launch any legal action. I don't think it's the way to go, I'd opt for public outing and humiliation within the comunity myself.

Hey guys thanks for your support.
Yeh I have sent him over 20 PMs, I ring about 6 times a week. Twice he has picked up and both times said "ill post it tomorrow". The last time I spoke to him was 2 weeks ago... Still waiting.
Another farkin member has been to his house and seen the actual frame that I paid for. So he dosnt really sound like he was out for a scam but more of a LAZY DISRASPECTFUL LYING TWAT.
And trust me GuRhInDiZzLe id do more than shat on his lawn:eek:
I should start training to be a Police Officer in January, so hopefuly ill be able to pay him a little visit with authority.

If you know where he lives, why not pay him a little visit and take the frame off his hands ? maybe take a couple of your larger/angrier friends with you to intimidate him a bit.

Damn right. Its an old 99 ATX DH2 so I only paid $400. Direct deposit was the way.

Contact the police and say you have been frauded by this troglidite, if you make an official complaint with the cops they have to follow it through, if you don't get a real response from the cops contact your local ombudsman. Fraud is a major crime and a phone call and\or visit from the maggots sorry boys in blue should do the trick. This is internet fraud and the penalties are getting greater all the time.
I work hard for $400 and I'm sure you do too, don't let him get away with it. It is just crap how people treat each other these days. Face to face people don't have the gonads to be rude, but when they can hide behind the internet they're all hero's. Take him to the cleaners.

Maybe he is lazy but that doesnt allow him to defraud anyone. If i bought something with my hard earned $$$'s and six weeks later and after many emails. pm's and whatever else, i had no frame and no response Id be onto the cops hell , i would"nt even wait 6 weeks. and if i knew where he lived id take a drive down and pick it up, and maybe some other stuff ;)

Im thinking of flying down, its only $69. I know I only paid $400, but it makes me sick knowing that someone can just take my hard earned money with just a few minutes infront of a keyboard! Im a security guard so that money wasnt easy to earn either.
It the 8th week now and I havnt rode since i paid for the frame. having serious withdrawls. The police just recommended me to Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and Office of Fair Trading, waiting to hear back from them. Im also booked in to talk to some legal advisors.
If anyone lives near Frankston, Melbourne, give me a PM and you can earn ya self 50bucks if you pick the frame up for me.

I have just been looking at this Bire's profile in the member list, his last activity was today at 10:27 am, so he is still active. If you check out all the threads he has started, and a majority of his posts, they are all in the trading area.. so he has a lot of shit to sell, for being a member for only 5 months (just feels a bit suspicious).
It says he is not a member of the trading access group, have admins disabled that, because i think thats a good move.

i am sorry for the lack of postage .
i have been through a messy beak up and my ex was surposed to be sendin the stuff i am currently in sydney but as soon as i get back (sunday night) i will get the stuff sent out i have already contacted a few of you .

The only reason hes surfaced on the issue is because it all turned serious with the talk of legal action and people threatening to come and pick their parts up, Did you think everyone who paid you for stuff would just forget about it ?
You've been active on farkin the whole time this has been going on, trying to sell more shit, and people claim they were sending you dozens of pm's and emails which you would have got, So how can you claim that you knew nothing about this and it was all down to the ex girlfriend not sending off your parts, I mean why the fuck would she ?

Like others have said, the sale and purchasing of goods is serious business. You rip someone off, there are very serious consequences. You could go to gaol for defrauding someone, you could get charged for fraud or theft. If you can't make the transaction, negotiate directly with the other party - that is your legal duty.

No more excuses mate, just take care of your responsibilities. I would like you to place yourself in the other people's position. they've paid money and so far received nothing for it. This is pretty abnormal for this site and I'm sincerely hoping that you will honour your commitments without any further delay and not leave this as a black mark on Farkin's trading history.

Also just to make ONE THING CLEAR this member wasnt waiting for a product at all , the seat in question he has not payed for yet,
he payed me a deposit and told me he would pay the rest the following week yet i didnt recieve the funds .
although i have done the wrong thing by the other two in question i did nothing wrong in this kids case he is mearly jumping on the band wagon.

I am very sorry that this unfortunate incident has happened. Of course problems can occur when trading, it's not a perfect world. But the way bire conducted himself in light of this issue was reprehensible. Not only did he fail to promptly send these items after they had been paid for, but he had very little contact with those who where owed items, he was abusive and condescending to them when they rightfuly began to complain and he has issued any number of threats of violence and destruction.
A note to you bire, no one takes your threats seriously.
bire has also used discriminatory language, outright abuse and name calling and has not been a constructive member on Farkin. It's unfortunate that he had to be banned, but I believe it to be in the best interests of the site and its members. Please take note of this issue and its outcomes, I think it's a good vote for COD payment methods.
bire, if you think you have been hard done by, go over the for sale forums and see if we've had any trouble like this before. I think you'll find you aare the only person for years who has behaved like this. Therefore I'm sure you'll be able to understand why you are no longer welcome. Plus, no one here likes you anymore anyway.
